ADF Gap Year

Well after deciding on impulse to take a Gap year i decided to register with the Australian Defence Force Gap year program. Basically the Government pays you to join the Defence Force for a year :) . I have decided on being a Operator Ground Based Air Defence, in the Army for my Gap Year with Navy and the RAAF as backup choices. According to their booklet  the Operator Ground Based Air Defence; locates, identifies and engages hostile aircraft using surface to air missiles as while as weapons systems aboard light cross country vehicles. Seeing how i’ve finished Ace Combat on Hard and my ambitions of studying Aeronautical Engineering at Uni this job seems ideal. So far I have passed the initial round of selection and i’m now waiting for the Septemper 15th short list to be published. I’ll keep you all informed.

Dismissed.
